Fantastical Faralee

I will be posting little by little of the book now, Prologue   The wind blew in the man’s face, making him shiver in the cold, as he made his way through the brightly lit cave. One of his men had reported that the master had wanted to see him. Even being far underground in the secret caves could not block the wind from getting to them. Yes, the rain could not reach them there. But the powerful wind could. Asklif and his men were hiding in the caves far below the surface of Faralee, where only a few special people would know to look. Asklif stopped when he reached a tall bonfire far from the other fires. Standing in front of the fire with his back to Asklif was his master the Superior Alpha of their group. This type of armband is called a Lapha. Only wizards have them, it helps harvest and control their power. Each Lapha, has a word on it that indicates the owners branch in the wizard guild.  For Burners its Flames. Tiders its Waves. And Gliders its Gust. Every wizard's Lapha is designed for the persons personality, and interest. Every elf have its own personal color symbol, and has a jewel of that color. The character of Sophie's jewel is a purple color, shown in the picture. In the first picture there are four sequins. Those four identify how many years she has been an apprentice.  Every wizard's Lapha has their initials on it. This one is SSR. Sophie Rose Rejes.  There is a string hanging from the armband. Tied to that string every wizard has three or four of their alakrie's (word for Pegasus) feathers. Sophie's alakrie's name is Beroke, (meaning Silver), with hot pink colored feathers. The Forest of Faralee is a magical forest set in a continent called Ellmathaw. It's right outside of Ellmathaw's capitol city, Clapcot.  Faralee is home to the elves, that rule the kingdom, it's also home to the Alakrie, (pegasi), Nenlings, (giant snakes), and the Lilharie pack, (a pack of white wolves).  Everything thing in Faralee is magical, from the trees to the creatures.  Around the forest is a magical barrier called the Sheal. Normal animals from other parts of Ellmathaw can pass through it, but humans cannot. The Sheal hides things that go over the trees, such as the palace of the elves, called Thunder Palace. In the autumn the leaves turn color, and fall from the trees, but the next day after all of the leaves have all fallen they are back on the trees. Carla is one of the two elven princesses of Faralee.  Her older sister is Princess Jemier, and her mother and father are King Harwen, and Queen Areona. Carla is described to be a tomboy, she often skips out on royal meetings my sneaking out through the Vent, (the magical tunnel out of the castle using the tunnels underground). She has sun-streaked blond hair, and intense gray eye's, just like her father. She is also very short in height, standing at 4 feet and 11 inches tall. Carla is a tider wizard, and is very powerful with the water. When Sophia and Sam Rejes arrive in the forest she and Sophie instantly become bestfriends.  Carla is very scared of heights, except for when she is riding her alakrie ( a Pegasus) mount through the clouds, her alakrie's name his Mera (meaning ash) as her hide is a gray color.  She usually feels like she doesn't get taken s...

The girl sat cross legged on the cave floor, the boy Kinz sat across from her, they were both young, only the age of nine . "Come on you can do it, if you don't they will kill us" he said, the girl shook her head "They won't my mother would never allow it, besides they need us, and I can't" she answered.  He rolled his pale eye's, "Oh you would be surprised, besides you can Star you can. Glowing yellow stripes appeared where his arm's had just been, it was a magic spell of confusion, made to distract your enemies eye's so they couldn't hit you. Samuel Valor Rejes is the main character in the Forest Of Faralee series, he is a human boy that is sixteen years old in the first book. He is tall for his age with short curly dark brown hair, and blue eye's the color of the ocean, with a small amount of freckles on his nose, and dimples on his cheeks. His twin sister is Sophia Rejes , the siblings are very close, because when they were eight years old their parents died in a fire, so for nine years all they had was one another. They live in the streets of Clapcot city, (capitol of the land Ellmathaw ). Sam steals food and, hunts illegally in the King's Woods to keep he and Sophia alive. As soon as Sam enters Faralee, the realm of the elves he feels a strange sense of belonging, and like he was coming home. At the end of the first book he becomes a scout's apprentice, as he has a natural skill with a bow, and has been hunting sense he was nine.  Sam is deathly scared of fire because he was there when his parents died, and ...

Clangs echoed through the cavern, as two figures covered in black clothes circled each other, swords pointed towards one another. "Keep your sword up!" a clear voice shouted above the noise, the voice did not come from one of the figures but somewhere in the corners of the cavern where there was no light. One of the figures charged at the other, and they clashed together, the way they moved they were both obviously girls. The girl who had charged knocked the other's sword clear out of her hand and it skidded across the cave floor. "Stay focused!" came the voice again, "Hold on" the girl without the sword shot back, she dove to the side towards the sword. She snatched the sword while in a summersault and stood holding it high above her cloaked head. A laugh could be heard from her hood as she did it "You won't win" the other girl said snarling.
